As a photographer I love mixing my past in print design with my photography to explore color and texture in a way that brings out the spirit of the shoot.   For this shoot my client called and said she would love to have her daughters pictures taken in her wedding gown.  Because I have been planning the same session for my daughter I was so excited to collaborate and bring the vision to fruition.

Then the day of the shoot my client opened the back of her SUV and I was amazingly surprised by a beautiful Vera Wang gown!!  What a dream . . . a beautiful little girl . . . a Vera Wang gown . . . a field of green and the perfect golden light . . . aaahhh

Like star dust glistening on fairies’ wings . . . Little girls dreams are of magical things.

There is a certain magic,  a bond, between mother and little girl.  A secret held so closely that will only be revealed with time . . . nothing touches a mothers heart like seeing her baby girl in her wedding gown.   But what if . . .

what if . . . we could capture the innocence of their childish smiles, the giggles, the grins, the silly delight in playing dress up in the dress that one day they both will hold dear to their hearts.  The bond that connects one beginning to the next . . . the love . . . the beauty . . . the timeless couture that transforms a simple girl into a princess bride on her wedding day.

Amelia . . . what a perfect name . . . what a precious giggle . . . smart . . . quirky . . . confident . . . beautiful . . . so enthralled in her momma’s Vera Wang.   Simple perfection on a beautiful evening . . .
