This session was one of the easiest sessions I have had to date! Jessica was just a natural in front of the camera. I had to give her little direction and she just kept moving into these spectactular poses. We shot this all around downtown Temple, Texas. This is one of my absolute favorite areas in the town to shoot because I love the urban backgrounds especially in the alleyways, and there are several! I don’t usually use a hazy look with my photos, but I tried it on this particular shoot because it had sort of an old timey feel to it. I guess the makeup and hair done by Missy Von Parlo and the outfits we put together from the thrift store could have had something to do with it. When Jessica came to Missy and I she was very very plain looking. By the time we were done with her she had a whole new look and attitude. She would make an excellent fashion model! That is one of the reasons I loved this shoot was the fashiony feel of it. I love shooting Seniors, but this was a whole new ballgame. I loved the angles and lines that her body created when she moved and I absolutely loved editing every single one of the images I took of her. I am used to shooting brightly colored urban areas like this minus the haze effect, and I mostly use natural light unless God forbid I am shooting indoors.
