I am a photographer based in Pittsburgh Pa. I am a natural light photographer that specializes in Maternity, Newborn, and Children fine art portraits. I have been shooting for close to two years. In college I played around with black and white film but it wasn’t until I had children that I found my true calling in life. With a huge support system around me I started Blu Hippo Photography.
Everything about this session just came together. I had a beautiful subject, an amazing location and perfect light but knowing how to connect your subject, pose them correctly and where to place them in relation to the sun is key. I started the session about an hour before sunset so it was still bright to shoot in the open flowers fields. I decided to start off in the peach orchard where there was plenty of shade. As the sun set, I really wanted to do backlit images but the pretty pink sun was lighting the subject so I decided to move all around the fields and get more of a variety of shots. I am more than thrilled with how they turned out. Since I work so much with kids…I love an opportunity to shoot maternity!
