I am a self-taught natural light portrait photographer in Great Falls, Montana. As a teenager in the 80′s, I plastered fashion spreads from W magazine all over my walls, but only in the last few years did my passion for photography develop into a serious pursuit. I took some online classes to learn the technical aspects of photography and then I went and spent a day of one on one mentoring with Andee Tate of Crave Photography. I spent several years working in the fashion industry in Italy back in the 1990′s and that experience has influenced the “mood and feel” I desire to create in my images. After viewing some senior images of a friend on my facebook wall, Kirsten contacted me all the way from Bothel, WA. She grew up in Montana and wanted to come “home” for her senior session. I took her to a small town outside of Great Falls that had buildings from back in the 1800′s with great texture and color that would work with her personal style and fun personality. It was a super fun session that shows her youthfulness, spunk, beauty, grace and elegance all at the same time.
