I’m Holly, a senior photographer from the upper peninsula of Michigan. I am so honored and excited to be joining the Lemonade and Lenses team! As you know, Lemonade and Lenses all started in Cincinnati last year; the brainchild of Gina (Kiwi Street Studios) and Lexi (Lexi Vornberg Photography). I met Lexi through our designer, the lovely Renee at Ribbons of Red. When I told Lexi about the new photographers’ group we were starting in the UP, she invited us to be the first satellite chapter of L&L!!

Our little group just got together this past year. Our members are very diverse – from newborn photographers, senior photographers, wedding photographers, and everything in between – we all have our niches. The one thing we have in common other than our love for photography is the fact that we genuinely enjoy the sense of community and friendship that we have together. Our meetings are full of wine and laughter, a little bit of venting and a whole lot of sharing. We are all thrilled to be affiliated with such a great up-and-coming organization!

After a few fun Skype calls with Lexi and a ton of brainstorming, we decided to invite photographers’ groups from around the country to become affiliates of L&L! What I love most about L&L is the welcoming philosophy behind it all. It is a place to learn freely, share ideas, and make friends with similar passions and goals! If you are involved with a group of ten or more photographers, however formal or casual it may be, consider joining up with us and becoming a L&L affiliate! The application fee is $25, and if your group is accepted the fee will go towards your annual membership fee.

Besides the networking and comradery that goes along with L&L’s philosophy, here are a few other perks of being an L&L member. Each group will receive:
A personal e-mail address, i.e. manhattan@lemonadeandlenses.com
A logo badge featuring your city for use on blogs and websites
Use of the L&L main logo for your marketing materials
A separate page on L&L’s website for your chapter
Access to blog to post about your chapter’s gatherings and news
Exclusive invitations to future L&L retreats
Each photographer in your chapter will have a place in the directory

We are just getting started, so look for more information to be released soon! The sky is the limit, and we have some pretty big ideas! We will be accepting applications for new chapters in February. Our goal is to have a strong network of Lemonade and Lenses groups all across the country one day. Your group could be one of the first!!
