I’m convinced that Fallon would love going anywhere, but I’m so glad her session took place among some of Arizona’s posh landscaping. Initially the session was going to be at a run-of-the-mill park but we had to reschedule because of some freak rain cover (every once in awhile, Arizona actually gets wet). While we rescheduled for a sunnier day, Fallon’s mom recommended a location I had never heard of and I’m so glad she did. Fallon looked amazing among the waterfalls and cactus!

I have known this family for a while and the last time we met, this littlest member was in his mama’s belly. We did this photo session to focus on him at fifteen months, which was about the same age I photographed his older brother. It is so fun to see different personalities of siblings and he was certainly a lot more active than his older brother. We took some photos at home and then headed out to the beach for some play time. The family has a VW Bus that has been a great prop for their images. The black and white image of the family sitting in the van (also the cover image for their album) is one of my favorites. It was one little moment but it speaks volumes of the special bond and the love this family has for one another. I thought I would also include a few images of the family album. I love making these treasures!

I’m an Oklahoma-based wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer.  I recently moved from South Carolina, so starting over in a brand new city has been challenging and exciting.  I love shooting outdoors in nature and love to incorporate a vintage prop or two.

My couple Indi and Andrew had a lot of input in the session.  I love when the couple has ideas and I can challenge myself to incorporate something personal or sentimental to my subjects.  Andrew is a teacher, as well as a photographer.  We incorporated an old typewriter and vintage school desk.  I asked the couple to type something on the typewriter and they chose “Love is Simple,” which describes them, their love, and this session perfectly.  We used the shores of Lake Hefner as a back drop, which at the time was pretty dried up, creating a dried out desert looking platform to shoot.  The woods and wheat grass pictures were also along the shores.

I met Carolyn on New Year’s Eve while celebrating and I immediately asked her if I could photograph her. Fortunately for me, she agreed 100% and we finally were able to get together this past week! She is definitely one of the coolest people I have ever met, and she made my job easy. Her attitude reflected the vibe I wanted to give off right away, laid back and fun. These were taken on the beach in Milwaukee, WI on Lake Michigan. Besides the session, I’m a 20 year old portrait, event, and conceptual photographer and I love to inspire people. My main goal with photography and owning my own business is to portray the real side of people.

I couldn’t have asked for more gorgeous weather on this beautiful spring day. The Lafayette Reservoir was a new location for me.  I was beyond excited to shoot there because I knew the light glistening through the trees and reflecting off the water would be gorgeous!  I picked a versatile location near the lake that was full of texture and different elements.  This allowed me to utilize my time wisely without having to walk to different areas around the lake.  I could just turn around and I’d have a ‘new’ location.  It really was perfect.  Cassie came fully prepared with her hair and makeup done, several fun outfits & shoes, and a case full of jewelry and accessories!  I simply loved the outfit choices Cassie brought with her – several of the pieces from Brandy Melville.  Her hair had a beautiful wave to it, with simple makeup, and just the right amount of accessories to pull all these amazing looks together.

I like to think that I’m an old soul at heart, so when I got the opportunity to team up with vintage Etsy shop IngridIceland for a stylized “Sweet Sixteen” shoot, I about cried with excitement (I’ve seen the movie Sixteen Candles more than I care to admit). There’s also something so beautiful and relate-able about turning sixteen, so I appreciated the nostalgia these images created.

The clothing our models got to wear could not have been more fun and fresh, especially considering some of the pieces were decades old. And I loved our props! The vintage convertible was absolutely to die for and was the perfect backdrop for our theme. The beautifully wrapped presents, cupcakes, balloons, and cake were also great additions to our set.

Our high school models definitely embraced the “days-gone-by” look and had so much fun being transported back in time for the afternoon. It was absolutely one of my favorites sessions yet.

Who Am I?

I am a natural light photographer who is based out of MI and FL. A few words that describe me, FOODIE, GYPSY, GYM RAT, YOOPER, and persuer of BLISS. Where did the name CamillaRain come from? If I ever had a child that is what I would name her, it’s a strong, flowing name….and when you own a business it’s sort of like raising a child, you have to put love, sweat, time, and money into both. :)

This session was taken around Artist Alley in my AMAZING town of Delray Beach, FL. Peter Heise is a young musician who needed some headshots. He has a face of a Giorgio Armani model but the sweetest heart.

I am a portrait and fine art photographer from Pennsylvania. My love for photography started when I was in high school and has now turned into an obsession. My mind is always on it. Originally from Tennessee, open fields and hay barns are just in my photography blood. When the weather decided to finally change, I didn’t waste time in getting out to shoot my dear friend in an open field and on back roads of my little town. The sun was beautiful that day and the wild flowers were everywhere. Walking along my back roads, passing creeks filled with fisherman, and finding a little spot with a stone wall just made my night. This session was filled with great conversation and laughter. Too much fun to call work.

This session was done spur of the moment when I woke up to a gorgeous blanket of fog over my backyard.  I immediately called my (then) pregnant friend Emily to come to be my muse for the day. She’s a beautiful girl; I just couldn’t resist. I love doing spur of the moment sessions like these when I can because there are no expectations from a client, which is incredibly freeing.

I am a French photographer specializing in childhood photography.  This session was shot in September 2012 in Brittany, France with a little lovely girl. Her name is Laurianne and she is 3 years old.  Her parents are farmers, so when they asked me to shoot their daughter with chickens I was happy to create a universe with this theme.  The day was a beautiful summer day!  In Brittany that is rare!  This little girl is so lovely and joyful; and her eyes are just wow!  My work in photography is to create a universe with themes for my little models.  I shoot only newborns, young children, and moms to be.  A day I closed my eyes and began to dream; I still dream and now I have my head in clouds!

Ellie is a beautiful girl with such a sweet sense of style (look at her lovely dress with peaches all over it), and together we decided to create a “spring-themed” session.  When I think of springtime, four things come to mind: flowers, citrus fruits, clean laundry, and breakfast.  I knew the perfect location for this shoot: the famous Stanley Park woods, located close to us in beautiful Vancouver.  So we carried a table, flowers we hand-picked, citrus fruits, and clothespins to the middle of Stanley Park and put together this session – and we love it!  I am a lifestyle natural light photographer who enjoys capturing personality and joy through natural details and beauty – and Ellie and I agree that this session did both.

Based out of Long Beach, I serve Los Angeles and Orange County. I am a child photographer, specializing in maternity, babies, and toddlers. I have a studio about a block from the beach in Long Beach for my newborn and some baby sessions, but really love to get out of the studio for all other sessions, like this one. I can’t help but love an overgrown landscape and this location’s neglected greenery made for the perfect session. This session was for Miss Keaton’s 2nd birthday. We headed to a canyon in Los Angeles, followed by the beach in Santa Monica to wrap the session.

Hello! I’m Tara from Tara Rochelle Photography located in Santa Clarita, CA (just north of Los Angeles) and my studio specializes in high school seniors as well as children and family portraits. For the majority of my senior sessions, I shoot on location as I did with Karley. Karley’s passion is her horse and we did the session at the stable he was being boarded at for an injury. Karley loves all things vintage and so we did her session with beautiful flowy dresses and some fun little props. She even brought along one of her favorite books, Black Beauty, which was a perfect compliment to her horse inspired shoot. We tried to use several areas of the ranch, including the training stables, the open pasture, and even the wash areas. The portraits we did with her horse, Orlando, we used Karley’s formal gown and opted to go barefoot.
