These images are of my daughter and niece who are both 8 years old. They are only four months apart in age and we now live only four houses apart. Our family has lived away from our hometown until last year when we moved back to Florida. We are a military family which makes living near our family now even more special. These girls have grown up together playing during our visits at Christmas and Summer break; but it is an amazing blessing to watch their love of one another grow now that they can be daily playmates. They truly are not only cousins, but the best of friends.
The three of us went out to take pictures for an assignment for the Finding the Light Workshop I am currently participating in. We did not have the sun I had hoped and planned for, but I was over the moon to have captured these moments instead. As I look at them, I see the essence of childhood and the beautiful bond they are creating.
