We own some land that I love to shoot on because there are a variety of settings on it. Recently, I discovered some huge bushes with large thorns and yellow fruit on them, and I knew I had to shoot there. I took a friend to do some test shots for possible future photo sessions and I fell in love with the location, although it was very tricky getting in and out of those thorns! The contrast of the prickly, sharp, thorns with the beauty of my model in a lacy, feminine dress really worked for me. I also took her to another location on our land where I placed her on a quilt with a lace overlay and lots of backlighting, which is my favorite way to shoot.
I am a new photographer, having just launched my business in May, but I am feeling very blessed to be completely booked this fall. Senior girls are my favorite genre to shoot, but I also shoot families at this time. I shoot in natural light only and my favorite prop ever is the glorious sun.
