This was my most recent session done in May of 2013. This is my nephew’s wife who was 39 weeks pregnant and glowing. Since this session she gave birth au natural to a 6lb healthy baby boy. We started out at one location and traveled around to find some more variety and I landed on a beautiful spot that was very lush and green with even a few flowers to boot. Then on the way home the sunrise was gorgeous, so we stopped yet again to get a few more snaps in this dandelion field. This session was one of those where everything just came together perfectly and therefore is definitely one of my favorites.

I’ve been getting pretty serious about photography, I would say, as of 2010. Since then I have been trying to learn as much as I can. I started with film & moved to digital since it’s so cost effective and I just love what you can do in Photoshop to really make images into something extra special. I continue to grow and learn when money is available, and when it’s not, which is most of the time, I do a lot of reading and YouTube watching. I’ve also learned to pick out what I like in photographers that inspire me and work at my own style little by little to fine tune it. Photography to me is my creative outlet. If I go somewhere and I happen to forget my camera, it’s like leaving a limb behind. My husband laughs at how attached I am to it. Either way, it’s fun looking back at my growth. I also love having so many images of my family to look back on and revive old memories. Even if you’re not a professional photographer, I recommend everyone to make sure you’re taking pictures often to have as keepsakes.

Hi, I’m Liz…a boutique style, natural light photographer specializing in child, family, and senior photography.

These lovely ladies are my 2014 senior representatives. I really couldn’t ask for a sweeter group of girls to help represent my photography this school year. This is my first year implementing a rep program, so I really wanted to start if off with a bang! My inspiration came from the early 1900s circus…not freaky circus, but a soft, romantic, and whimsical feel. I also wanted to pull out of these girls the child-like wonder that I know resides in all of us. This was definitely accomplished through the circus theme. I was actually surprised the girls were so willing to be photographed with a snake! They let that snake, Mary, wrap all around them…it was awesome! :)

We are Hermann & Miranda, an engaged couple from Pretoria. In 2011 we decided to work together & in 2013 we established Him&Her Pictures as our company. We love working together. Our style can be described as modern, natural, & creative.  We encourage our clients to be natural to break away from poses and just be themselves. We thank Yahweh, our guide & provider for our talents & love we have for our work.

This senior session was inspired by the beautiful aspects of Suhane and her personality.  We shot two hours before sunset to capture the soft light reflecting so beautifully on her. We also used the sun for back light. We used the green grasses, old buildings, graffiti, and the colourful blooms on the bushes to create a natural feel. We had so much fun playing around! She ran through the blooming fields, used the flowers for props, and the way she held it made it a perfect picture.
