I am a photographer located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia just outside of Charlottesville. I shoot exclusively natural light, light inspires me and I am constantly amazed by the beauty it creates in photographs. My love for photography originally bloomed while I was living abroad in Thailand at the age of 17, it was there that I fell in love with the people and realized my joy in capturing emotions and life.
I am not one to plan out or stylize shoots in advance; I look for light and let my subject be the inspiration and personality of the shoot. In this case my beautiful subject is French and her beauty and personality inspired what felt to me very dramatic and evoking. She grew up raising Lipizzaner horses and asked if I could find a white horse. Although this was not a Lipizzaner it was just the right look for her and had special meaning. The blue dress was a gift from her mother from France and was just breathtaking. I love how everything fell together to create a meaningful session that showcased how unique and beautiful she is.
