Because even though all the images you select as finalists are amazing, that newbie photog who doesn't have many contacts/fans yet will NEVER beat that well known photog. And who's to say which is better then? 2. Voting takes away from your purpose in my mind- It's not meant to be a popularity contest that people will become bitter about. Like you said, it's about sharing! 3. I think you'll be able to do fun things with a panel of judges.... True, it's a popularity contest, but if you know that going in to the contest, why complain, send rude emails and attack L&L? Anyway, I will continue to be a fan, and I hope to enter next month's cover contest, however the judging is done. I will never understand why people feel entitled to act in such manners (or lack thereof)! But I have to tell you through this I have learned so much more about you and I have to say I am SO very impressed with the way you have handled all of this and I am truly an even bigger fan now! It's nice to know there are photogs out there that do care about the newbies and have such a passion for what is right! I look forward to being a continued fan and I hope the nay-Sayers realize their mistakes or hit the road!!
